The cure for what ails me

On my drive to daycare yesterday, I was still noodling over how I could be in such a terrible mood. And how to get out of it. A day’s worth of angst just wasn’t something I wanted.

As I was walking toward the front doors, though, I heard this sweet little voice call to me: “Mommy!” There was my boy, pressing his nose against the screen of the window in his room with a huge smile.

My mood lifted immediately. Magically. Completely.

So, yeah, my son’s beaming face was the perfect cure. I should have known.

  1. The same goes around here…all M has to do is flash that silly grin at me and it is absolutely impossible to remain a grumpy old troll.
