The pancake special : May 2003

In keeping with the theme of yesterday’s post, I display yet another example of food/beverage yumminess.

Uncommon Ground is my absolute favorite breakfast spot of all time. Ask any of my friends and family who visited us in Chicago. Like Chad and Tiffany who recently traveled there with us. I’ll drag anyone and everyone there just so I can enjoy my favorite french toast, covered in mounds of fresh fruit.

During this particular visit, the pancake special won out by virtue of all the delicious blackberries. I’ve yet to find another eatery that serves up pancake, waffles and french toast with such panache. The sad part: it used to be mere four blocks from our apartment. Now I have to travel some 180 miles.
