Playing games

I’m glad that Devin likes to play games. I might go crazy if not because his other favorite options are playing cars and super heroes. Neither of which really top my list of preferred activities. He does have one board game, though, that I absolutely despise. It’s a Thomas the Tank Engine game, which would be fine, except that it takes FOREVER to win. No one has one thus far. Our patience runs out before we ever get close.

So, evil mom that I can sometimes be, whenever he asks if we can play Thomas, I try to wriggle out of it. My logic the other night was that we never play Candy Land or Chutes and Ladders. Apparently that was a brilliant observation because he ran gleefully downstairs and grabbed both games. And we played one round of each game in just half an hour. Score!
