Beer, anyone?

Gwen and Dottie had us over for a vegan barbecue

I have plenty to say. Really I do. But I can’t find the time or energy to sit my butt in front of my computer and type away. That could be a good thing or a bad thing. I’m not sure.

Summer tends to come on full force. And now that we’re parents, we’ve found that there are that many more things to get involved in. More visiting. More activities. More catching up on all of the things that we’re not getting done around the house.

And, of course, I’ve gotten sick again. Again. AGAIN! I’m so darn sick of being sick. Bronchitis or some version of lung torture. It’s gone on for more than a week now and I’m wilting. From the heat and from the ceaseless coughing. I’m one big germ magnet and I’m not happy about it.

So there you have it. My life these days in the proverbial nutshell. It’s not all bad. The sickness has me very frustrated, yes, but I’m really enjoying the fun and merriment we’ve been partaking in this summer. With plenty more to come. Visitors from Florida this week. Baby reunion #3 planned for the weekend. And another barbecue. We’re on a roll!

(For the record, I didn’t choose the beer. I went for Gwen’s delish rum-lemonade with mint. A much better choice in trying to kill the virus inside of me. Too bad it didn’t quite work.)
