What I love is when I find a recipe that includes all of the ingredients I already have in my house and is also easy to make. It’s like I want to bow down to the recipe gods.
I was a bit skeptical of this concoction at first, and I truthfully deviated from the printed instructions a bit, but the melding of the flavors was super-duper awesome. I can’t believe I never thought of making my own tortilla chips before either. The crispy tortillas in these tostadas were so good, but they weren’t hard like store-bought chips are. So my son could actually eat them without the fear we have of him cutting his gums.
I discovered, too, as I was preparing the ingredients that Dev likes kalamata olives. Way to go, kid!

You’ve gotta stop posting pictures of food! I tend to read your blog at lunchtime. Believe me, the food available to me here, does not even come close to what I am looking at. So, cut it out!!!
