Leaving Nantucket

So Kevin didn’t think my first back-from-vacation photo was scenic enough. Well, here’s another. It’s more of what you’d expect from a Nantucket visit, I’m sure. It was a bit disturbing that every single house and building on the island was shingled in the exact same way. They do this, I’m told, to maintain the history and integrity of the island. Yet it smacks a bit of Stepfordism, from my point of view. What if I had $1.25 million (the price of an average home on Nantucket) and I wanted to paint my house green? Well, it ain’t gonna happen.
