The vacation in question took place a week ago, of course. Because being timely is no longer an option for me. But we’re still basking in the glow of five days of touring around upper Michigan.

Day one took us through Frankfort, where we played on the beach; Sleeping Bear Dunes, where we toured, then climbed, then ran downnnnnn; Glen Haven, where we checked out the blacksmith shop and the Coast Guard Station; Glen Arbor, where we noshed on YUMMY food on the outdoor patio with a great breeze blowing through – I was in grilled cheese heaven!; then we checked into our hotel in Traverse City, where we walked a couple of blocks to Clinch Park and the kiddo swam and played into the evening (and where Mom ducked out for a while to walk around the town).
